Department: Accounts Reports To: Accounts Head Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable GST Specialist to join our Accounts Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Goods and Services Tax (GST) compliance, TDS management, and the end-to-end refund process. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate reporting and timely refunds while maintaining compliance with all relevant tax regulations. Key Responsibilities: GST Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns. Stay updated on GST laws and regulations, implementing changes as needed. TDS Management: Calculate, deduct, and remit TDS as per applicable regulations. Prepare and file TDS returns, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. Respond to any queries from tax authorities regarding TDS. Refund Process: Manage the entire refund process, including filing refund applications and supporting documentation. Liaise with tax authorities to resolve any issues related to refunds. Monitor and track the status of refund applications. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all GST and TDS transactions. Prepare reports for management review on GST and TDS compliance and refund status. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for accurate tax calculations and filings. Assist in internal audits related to GST and TDS compliance. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in GST and TDS management, preferably in a corporate environment. Strong knowledge of GST laws and compliance requirements. Familiarity with accounting software and tax filing systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Skills: Certification in GST or relevant tax courses.
