Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer / Principal Sales Engineer / Senior Solutions Architect / Technical Sales Specialist Department: Sales / Presales / Technical Solutions Reports To: Sales Manager / Business Head / Technical Sales Director Location: Nashik, Maharashtra, India (This role involves significant travel to client sites within Nashik, Maharashtra, and potentially other parts of India). Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer - Sales to join our dynamic team in Nashik. This role is a critical bridge between our sales team and our engineering/product development departments, providing in-depth technical expertise during the sales cycle. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in [ Specify Industry/Domain, e.g., IT infrastructure, industrial automation, software solutions, telecommunications, specialized machinery ], coupled with exceptional communication and presentation skills. You will be instrumental in understanding complex client technical requirements, designing tailored solutions, conducting compelling demonstrations, and acting as a trusted technical advisor to both clients and the sales force to close strategic deals. Key Responsibilities: Technical Solution Design & Consulting: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand client business needs, technical challenges, and strategic objectives. Analyze client requirements, existing infrastructure, and operational processes to design and propose comprehensive, technically sound, and cost-effective solutions leveraging our products/services. Develop detailed technical proposals, solution architectures, and Statements of Work (SOWs) that align with client requirements and company capabilities. Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, guiding them through technical complexities and showcasing the value proposition of our offerings. Product Demonstration & Presentation: Conduct compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to prospective clients, catering to both technical and non-technical audiences. Showcase the capabilities and features of our solutions, highlighting how they address specific client pain points and deliver tangible business benefits. Participate in industry events, webinars, and conferences to represent the company's technical capabilities. RFI/RFP Response Management: Lead the technical response to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with client specifications. Coordinate with internal teams (Product, R&D, Legal) to gather necessary technical information and ensure compliance. Technical Sales Enablement: Provide ongoing technical training and support to the sales team, enhancing their product knowledge and technical selling capabilities. Develop technical sales collateral, whitepapers, case studies, and solution briefs. Conduct competitive technical analysis, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation points of our solutions against competitors. Liaison & Feedback: Act as a crucial liaison between the sales, engineering, product development, and customer support teams. Translate client feedback and market requirements into actionable insights for product development and engineering teams. Identify potential integration challenges and provide solutions or escalate to relevant technical teams. Mentorship & Leadership (for Principal/Lead roles): Mentor and guide junior Sales Engineers, sharing technical knowledge and sales best practices. Contribute to the development of technical sales processes and methodologies.
