Senior Engineer - Piping

Role Overview: You will be working as a Sr. Engineer-Piping on mining projects, requiring in-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing piping systems, reviewing detailed layout drawings, collaborating with the project team, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. It is expected that you will have engineering & design experience in piping systems, be able to resolve bottlenecks, and handle Piping MTO for the project. Additionally, you will need to develop inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels, report progress to your supervisor, and communicate effectively with internal peers and project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop piping systems and components - Review detailed piping layout drawings and bill of materials - Collaborate with project team to ensure compliance with specifications and standards - Review design specifications, manage vendors, and conduct technical evaluations - Resolve piping material related bottlenecks in projects - Develop inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels - Communicate work status updates to immediate supervisor - Participate in design and provide input to the design team - Ensure implementation of quality procedures and maintain Health & Safety practices Qualifications Required: - 10-14 years of experience in piping, static, rotary equipment engineering - Bachelor's degree and preferred master's degree in mechanical engineering - PG diploma or certificate in Piping engineering would be an asset - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills - Familiarity with working in a LEAN environment - Experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be advantageous - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - P.
