Senior Engineer GT Enclosures Design

As a Mechanical Engineer specializing in the design of steel structures using STAAD Pro, your role will involve working on the design and development of Heavy-duty Gas Turbine (GT) Accessories systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing steel structures using STAAD Pro software. - Calculating loads and load cases according to various Country Building codes. - Designing bolted joints and welded joints based on AISC Steel manual and other country-specific design manuals. - Performing hand calculations for structural designs. - Coordinating with Designers to ensure successful completion of drawings. - Managing the product life cycle and collaborating with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, advanced technologies, and systems engineering. - Coordinating with vendors to verify products and systems comply with engineering design and customer specifications. - Documenting design work meticulously. - Having knowledge in HRSG domain is considered an added advantage. Qualifications and Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering. - Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in steam/gas/nuclear power plants. - At least 4 years of experience in using STAAD Pro software. - Basic knowledge of power plant components and their functioning. - Strong problem-solving skills. - Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Good communication skills. Desired Characteristics: - Ability to effectively present information to project and functional management, customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. - Ability to synthesize information from different engineering disciplines. Required Technical Competencies: - Proficiency in STAAD Pro software. - Experience in steel connection design (bolted/welded). - Familiarity with American and European codes. - Knowledge of PLM tools like Enovia/Teamcenter is an added advantage. - Proficiency in MS Office tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.,
