Description
You will be working as a Senior Document Control Specialist (Engineering Admin) for a North American technology leader dedicated to enhancing roadway and student transportation safety through advanced AI-powered systems. Your role will involve managing technical documentation, coordinating supplier submissions, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Administer and maintain engineering documentation within Autodesk Fusion Manage and Vault PLM, ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance. - Apply knowledge of GD&T and engineering requirements to support technical document validation. - Create and edit drawings and schematics as needed. - Conduct first-pass reviews of drawings, specifications, and related documents to ensure completeness prior to release. - Manage engineering change processes, including Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and Change Management (CMs). - Coordinate the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new and revised components: - Review supplier submissions for completeness (FMEAs, control plans, dimensional reports, capability studies). - Track approvals and maintain PPAP documentation within PLM systems. - Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure alignment with production and procurement requirements. - Serve as a liaison between global suppliers, the Hyderabad engineering office, and U.S.-based engineering and quality teams. - Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure consistent document control practices. - Ensure all processes comply with company standards, policies, and applicable regulations. **Qualifications:** - Bachelors degree or diploma in Engineering, Technical Administration, or a related discipline. - 7-10 years of experience in engineering document control or PLM administration within a manufacturing or design environment. - Proficiency with PLM/PDM systems such as Autodesk Vault, Autodesk Fusion Manage, or Arena PLM. - Strong understanding of GMP and Product Life Cycle Management processes. - Preferred: direct experience with Autodesk Fusion Manage and Vault PLM. - Familiarity with PPAP documentation requirements; prior experience in automotive or aerospace industries is highly desirable. - Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs. - Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project requirements. - Excellent English communication skillsboth written and verbalwith the ability to engage effectively across global teams. - Flexibility to work primarily on India hours with occasional morning or evening meetings with U.S.-based teams.
