Job Description

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, your role will involve leading a migration initiative from Jenkins to GitLab. Your expertise in GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins will be crucial in ensuring a smooth transition. Your responsibilities will include: - Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab, minimizing disruption to ongoing development. - Analyze and convert Jenkins Groovy scripts into GitLab YAML pipelines, utilizing Python for automation when necessary. - Configure, optimize, and maintain GitLab runners, repository structures, and CI/CD configurations. - Collaborate with development teams to facilitate the adoption of GitLab pipelines. - Troubleshoot and resolve CI/CD issues, including build failures, inefficiencies, and integration challenges. - Implement GitLab security and compliance best practices, such as code scanning, access management, and compliance policies. - Monitor and enhance pipeline performance, build speed, and deployment efficiency. - Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5-6 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation engineering. - Proficiency in Jenkins (including Groovy scripting) and GitLab CI/CD. - Strong Python skills for scripting and automation. - Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. - Exposure to AWS or Azure environments. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and team collaboration abilities. - Preferred certifications: GitLab Certified Associate/Professional, AWS/Azure, Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD).
