About the Role We are in search of a seasoned DevOps Engineer with a strong foundation in AWS, Docker, and other container-based technologies, alongside a proficiency in serverless frameworks and infrastructure as code tools like CloudFormation and Terraform. This role is not only about developing and optimizing our platform architecture but also involves managing deployments, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, handling incident responses, and providing development support. A key part of this role involves scripting for Jenkins pipelines, familiarity with source control tools like GitLab and GitHub, including GitHub Actions, with a strong emphasis on security and active participation in code reviews. Responsibilities Architect, develop, and optimize scalable, secure, and resilient platform architecture using AWS and container technologies. Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, with a particular focus on scripting for Jenkins and Gitlab pipelines to automate deployments and facilitate smooth delivery of applications. Manage container orchestration using Docker and similar technologies, ensuring efficient scaling and operation of applications. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform for efficient provisioning and management of cloud resources. Ensure system performance is monitored, identifying and resolving any issues while maintaining high availability and performance. Respond to incidents with urgency, diagnosing, and resolving issues, followed by a thorough post- mortem analysis to prevent recurrence. Work collaboratively with development teams, providing operational support, sharing DevOps best practices, and assisting with infrastructure-related issues. Demonstrate proficiency with source control tools such as GitLab and GitHub, ensuring best practices in version control and contributing to GitHub Actions for automation. Participate actively in code reviews, emphasizing security to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities early in the development cycle. Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in DevOps, cloud computing, and containerization to continually improve our infrastructure and operational practices. Qualifications: In-depth knowledge of AWS, Docker, and container-based technologies, with hands-on experience in serverless frameworks. Expertise in scripting for Jenkins pipelines and managing CI/CD processes. Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform. Familiarity with source control tools such as GitLab, GitHub, and the implementation of GitHub Actions. Strong understanding of networking, security, and database management in cloud environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, capable of effectively diagnosing and addressing issues in high-pressure situations. A collaborative spirit, willing to share knowledge and practices with the team, and open to giving and receiving constructive feedback during code reviews. Experiences and Skills Around 5+ years experience with strong cloud architecture skills. Ability to code jobs in JavaScript or python. Proficiency in coding groovy scripts, GitHub pipelines, and / or similar technologies. Should demonstrate team leading skills. Proficiency in AWS technologies like Lambdas, ECS, S3, API Gateway Proficiency in serverless methodologies Experience in working with Docker and related technologies.
