Senior Developer - Frontend

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer III to join our Expert Tagging team. This role is responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting frontend components of the application, ensuring high performance, scalability, and a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks, UI/UX best practices, and API integrations while working in an AWS-based cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and enhance responsive, high-performance frontend components for the Expert Tagging application. Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product teams to translate UI/UX designs into interactive and scalable web applications. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and responsiveness of the application. Optimize frontend performance by implementing best practices such as lazy loading, caching, and efficient state management. Work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs efficiently. Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards. Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability. Debug and resolve UI-related bugs, performance bottlenecks, and accessibility issues. Implement security best practices to protect frontend applications from XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities. Stay up to date with emerging frontend technologies and trends, proactively suggesting improvements Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in frontend development, focusing on modern JavaScript frameworks. Strong proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, Redux, or other state management libraries. Experience with UI component libraries such as Material-UI, React-Bootstrap, etc. Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and Web Performance Optimization techniques. Familiarity with frontend build tools and bundlers such as Webpack, Vite, or Parcel. Experience working with testing frameworks like Mocha, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright. Proficiency in using Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines for frontend deployments. Hands-on experience working in AWS-based cloud environments, including services like S3, CloudFront, Lambda, and API Gateway. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug and optimize frontend applications. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) using Next.js. Knowledge of progressive web apps (PWA) and frontend microservices architecture. Familiarity with Docker and containerized frontend deployments in AWS. Exposure to AI-powered applications or knowledge-based systems. Understanding of A/B testing, feature flags, and experimentation frameworks.
