Senior Data Scientist - Machine Learning

As a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning at UnifyCX, you will play a crucial role in designing and optimizing domain-aware models for language and audio tasks using a combination of classical ML and deep learning techniques. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with a cross-functional team to develop strategies for acquiring high-quality training data and evaluating model performance effectively. In addition to building and refining ML pipelines, you will take the lead on analytics, dashboarding, and visualizations to convey insights and facilitate strategic decision-making. You will also engage in proof-of-concept experiments, ensure robust documentation, and promote best practices for reproducible research and version control. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in constructing practical machine learning models for industry-specific applications in areas such as language, audio, image, or time series tasks. Proficiency in Python is a must, along with familiarity with SQL or similar querying languages, as well as data visualization and dashboarding tools like Tableau or Power BI. A solid understanding of deep learning architectures (such as Transformers, RNNs) and classical techniques (like boosting and bagging) is also essential. Furthermore, having a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related disciplines would be a plus. Knowledge of privacy-preserving ML techniques, bias detection, content filtering, and other safeguards for ensuring the ethical deployment of AI in regulated industries will be advantageous. Any contributions to open-source AI projects or notable academic publications will be viewed favorably.
