Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis and visualization, with expertise in various analytical tools and methodologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making, improve processes, and enhance overall business performance.

Duties

• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic business initiatives.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to visualize key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with project management teams using Agile methodologies to ensure timely delivery of analytics projects.
• Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into databases.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python and R for advanced data analysis and statistical modeling.
• Conduct business analysis to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications for database design.
• Perform database management tasks using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Talend to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Create documentation for data processes and workflows using tools like Visio to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
• Support the software development life cycle (SDLC) by providing analytical insights during various project phases.
• Mentor junior analysts in best practices for data analysis, visualization techniques, and tool usage.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and performing data manipulation tasks.
• Familiarity with linked data concepts and analytics frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with VBA for automating repetitive tasks within Excel or other applications is a plus.
• Knowledge of Bash (Unix shell) scripting for data processing tasks is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
