Key Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and publish timely, well-researched news articles, features, and interviews related to franchising, retail, and business.

• Conduct interviews with key industry figures, entrepreneurs, and business leaders to produce insightful and engaging content.

• Develop sources within the business community to provide timely and accurate news coverage.

• Attend industry events, conferences, and press briefings to report on trends and developments.

• Collaborate with the editorial team to pitch and develop ideas for long-form content, special reports, and investigative stories.

• Ensure all content is accurate, well-structured, and meets editorial standards.

• Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and relevant business developments to stay ahead of the curve.

• Maintain relationships with PR professionals, business leaders, and relevant stakeholders for exclusive insights and content.

• Contribute to the editorial calendar with fresh, engaging story ideas.

• Assist in managing content for digital platforms, including franchiseindia.com and related social media channels.

• Mentor and guide junior correspondents, providing feedback and editorial oversight when needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.

• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in journalism, with a focus on business, retail, or franchising.

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

• Experience in conducting high-level interviews with entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry experts.

• Excellent understanding of digital media and online content strategies.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong research skills and the ability to gather, analyze, and present information clearly and concisely.

• Familiarity with franchising, retail, and entrepreneurship is a plus.

• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of SEO and social media trends is desirable.
