Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Concept Artist with strong visual storytelling skills and solid experience in creating stylized art for games. In this role, you will work closely with the Principal Artist and Art Director, helping translate creative direction into high-quality concepts and final art assets for slot games.

You will collaborate with Animation, VFX, & Development teams to ensure that all art is visually compelling, technically compatible, and production-ready. You will also play a key role in guiding and mentoring the Game Artist during asset preparation and delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept Development & Art Production

  • Create high-quality concept art and fully rendered assets for slot reels, backgrounds, UI elements, pop-ups, splash screens, and other game visuals.
  • Develop creative moodboards, visual explorations, and style frames for new game themes.
  • Own the full art pipeline: concept → rough pass → color pass → final render.
  • Maintain visual consistency across all assets and themes.


2. Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead, mentor, and guide Game Artists and junior artists in the art team. Provide guidance to the Game Artist, especially during asset cleanup, slicing, formatting, and delivery.
  • Help maintain the quality bar by assisting in internal QC checks.
  • Support the Art Director and Principal Artist by helping structure a scalable art workflow.


3. Collaboration Across Departments

  • Work closely with the Animation and VFX teams to ensure art assets meet technical and layering requirements.
  • Coordinate with developers to ensure assets are optimized for integration and adhere to engine constraints.
  • Ensure VFX- and animation-friendly rendering methods and layered PSD structures are used.


4. Feedback & Review Process

  • Participate in regular review sessions with the Principal Artist and Art Director.
  • Address feedback efficiently, ensuring timely revisions and alignment with the creative direction.
  • Ensure assets support gameplay readability and meet design needs.


5. Production Management & Delivery

  • Ensure all assigned assets are delivered on time, meeting quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with the Game Artist for proper asset slicing, formatting, and delivery.
  • Manage task priorities based on production timelines and dependencies.
  • Contribute to risk mitigation by identifying visual and technical challenges early. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s, Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in one of the following: Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Game Art / Digital Media, Graphic Design, Or an equivalent discipline
  • Proven expertise in creating high-quality concept art and rendered assets for games (slot games preferred).

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in game art, animation, or entertainment art.

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept art, illustration, character/prop design, and environment work (slot art experience is a plus).
  • Stay informed of industry trends, styles, and emerging technologies to guide innovation within the team.


Art & Technical Skills:

  • 8 to 10 years of industry experience in gaming, animation, or entertainment art.
  • Strong foundation in anatomy, form, colour theory, composition, and lighting. 
  • Deep understanding of art production workflows (concept → color → final asset).
  • Ability to produce layered PSDs optimized for animation & VFX pipelines.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suites and other equivalent industry-standard software.


Collaboration & Soft Skills:

  • Experience in mentoring and guiding art teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interpret creative direction accurately.
  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and consistency in quality.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.


Bonus Skills (Good to Have):

  • Experience in slot game art or casual/mobile game art.
  • Knowledge of PIXIJS/HTML5 art integration pipelines.
  • Understanding of motion graphics for popups and win animations.
  • Experience in designing artwork specifically prepared for Spine2D animation pipelines.
  • Any prior hands-on experience with Spine2D is a plus.
  • Experience leading small teams or specialized pods.
