Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Cloud Engineer at Loopio, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and supporting all aspects of the platform infrastructure. Working alongside a team of talented Engineers and Architects, you will be on a mission to empower the software development and machine learning/data teams to deliver cutting-edge features to customers efficiently and securely. Your expertise in Cloud technology and passion for continuous improvement will be key to success in this dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Building, maintaining, scaling, and hardening AWS infrastructure to meet current and future platform needs - Enhancing the security posture of Loopio's infrastructure to safeguard customer data - Collaborating with InfoSec, Architect, and Engineering teams to identify optimal solutions for AWS services - Automating manual tasks to enable the team to focus on enhancing security, exploring new technologies, and launching new features - Participating in strategic decisions regarding platform and technology, including cost-saving strategies and process improvements - Engaging in project-based work such as software upgrades, centralized logging, automated monitoring, and exploring new tools for the environment - Mentoring and coaching team members to foster knowledge-sharing and provide technical guidance - Supporting Incident Response and participating in on-call rotations to enhance incident response and disaster recovery processes Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in a high-growth agile software development environment - Strong focus on automation and reducing manual effort - Demonstrated leadership skills within the team, promoting candor and curiosity - Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across Engineering teams and functions - Proficiency in AWS and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPCs, etc.) and Azure - Familiarity with Immutable Infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.) - Understanding of best practices for delivering cloud-based managed applications at a global scale - Experience with containerization technology (Docker, ECS, Fargate) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) - Knowledge of centralized configuration management tools such as Chef and Ansible Company Details: Loopio is a global company headquartered in Canada, known for embracing flexible and effective work models.
