Jacobs has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Caltrans Specialist to work for one of our large clients. In this role, you will work directly with the client to enhance their Caltrans program, including creating efficient processes, providing systemic background knowledge expertise and guide the team to success. You will also provide effective, skilled project management to help our team deliver projects in a top-quality, timely, cost-effective manner. Responsibilities Include Working directly with the client Assist Caltrans Permit Specialists with applications Review engineering drawings- including Traffic Control Plans, Design Standard Decision Documents (DSDDs), and Utility/Encroachment Permit Policy Exceptions for Caltrans submission Enhance client/ Caltrans encroachment permit submission process Participate in job walks in support of project development and to ensure drawings compatibility with field conditions Attend/participate in internal and external meetings, as required Bring your experience, ability to brainstorm and implement process in a consulting environment, and technical expertise and we’ll provide you with exciting and challenging opportunities to help you grow professionally over the course of your career. Here's what you'll need 15 + years’ experience (highway design, traffic operations/design/management, highway construction, and project management) with Caltrans. Working knowledge of Caltrans specific policies, procedures, general and special provisions, and standards specifications and guidelines.
