As a candidate for the position, you should possess the following skills and experience: **Role Overview:** With over 10 years of experience in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design, including complex industrial systems, you should have a deep understanding of design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal (bending, welding, hardware, finishing). Your proven expertise in developing parametric CAD models and managing product variability in CAD systems such as Siemens NX, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks will be crucial. Moreover, your exposure to rule-based engineering systems, whether commercial (e.g., Rulestream, Configit, Tacton) or custom/homegrown solutions, will be invaluable in this role. Your excellent problem-solving skills should enable you to translate complex engineering knowledge into structured rules and logic effectively. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize your extensive experience in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design to contribute to the development of complex industrial systems. - Apply design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal, including bending, welding, hardware, and finishing. - Develop parametric CAD models and manage product variability in CAD systems like Siemens NX, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks. - Work with rule-based engineering systems, both commercial and custom solutions, to ensure efficient design processes. - Solve problems effectively by translating engineering knowledge into structured rules and logic. - Manage BOM, design documentation, and integrate designs with ERP/PLM systems. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum of 10 years of experience in sheet metal cabinet/enclosure design for complex industrial systems. - Deep understanding of design-for-manufacturing principles for sheet metal. - Proven experience in developing parametric CAD models and managing product variability in CAD systems. - Strong exposure to rule-based engineering systems, commercial or custom solutions. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex engineering knowledge into structured rules and logic. - Familiarity with BOM management, design documentation, and integration with ERP/PLM systems. Additionally, if you possess the following preferred qualifications, it would be advantageous: - Direct experience with Rulestream, including modeling, scripting, rule authoring, and CAD integration. - Experience as a Solution Architect or technical lead in rule-based engineering implementations. - Familiarity with Honeywell Safety Manager SC cabinets or similar safety system enclosures. - Exposure to electrical/electronic enclosure design, IP/NEMA standards, and compliance requirements.,
