Job Summary
As Senior Business Analyst in the Corporate application division, you would be working on some of our latest ventures to Support and Enhance cutting-edge SaaS business applications. You will be helping us with coordination, documentation, test execution, conducting POC, post-production maintenance, and support of the Oracle Cloud SaaS enterprise application production support and continuous improvement of the application landscape.
This position acts as a critical liaison between the companys financial functions including Corporate Controllership, Regional Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Business Assurance, and the companys IT organization.
Responsibilities
Business Support

Provides first-line support to users of financial applications.

Responding to business user queries

Providing one-on-one support, explanations, and guidance to users regarding finance operations

Triaging data issues, process issues, and business user errors.

Liaise with IT and business users to define and prioritize business-related issues associated with systems.

Partner with other system owners to ensure data quality, timing, and financial reporting impacts are fully understood.

Solution Design

Functional Design
-
Develops functional designs for applications, integrations, and conversions.

Ability to work on multiple functional areas and integrations with third-party products

Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs

Reviews functional designs and obtains signoffs with the cross-functional business and IT teams
-
Provides inputs into business processes based on design capabilities

Champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs

Learn and adapt to new technologies in a short duration
Testing & Test Design
-
Execute System integration testing.
-
Coordinate user acceptance testing for new systems or enhancement releases
-
This involves assistance with the creation of test cases and follow-up to ensure users complete testing per the schedule

Coordinates integration testing validates test cases with stakeholders for user acceptance testing and training and obtains signoffs
-
Coordinates defects clarification, triage, and coordinate resolution with engineering teams
-
Performs Mock close on financial systems
Project Management
-
Manages small to medium application releases and projects.

Manages stakeholder expectations

Design release scope and schedule in line with a business goal, prioritization, and IT capacity

Work with the team of analysts and leads implementing new cloud business applications for Equinix
-
System Configurations
-
Configures applications in line with business goals
-
Designs forward-looking configurations by recognizing future needs aligned with the business roadmap

Develops configuration standards

Day to Day Support (Production Support)
-
Supports and trains junior resources and oversees quality in triage and troubleshooting practices

Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross-functional teams through the resolution

Identifies improvements to address repeat issues

Training and Change Management
-
Works with functional leadership teams to set expectations and conduct planning and execution of SME training activities

Defines, communicates, and implements support and engagement plans

Analyzes adoption rates and issues and assesses business case realization and proposes solutions to improve

Provides Adhoc training to various financial users on key financial applications.

Vendor Management
-
Manages/leads individual consulting resources as assigned

Participates in vendor advisory boards and user groups
-
Executes medium-scale vendor evaluations, pricing negotiations, and software acquisitions
-
Prepares management communications and gets stakeholder input for recommendations
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, IT, or a related field
-
8-10 years of experience working within the finance and accounting organization of a large multinational company
-
Strong written and oral communication skills
-
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
-
Willingness to travel occasionally if needed
-
Preference to computer science, mathematics, Accounting, and related fields of study
Minimum Qualifications
-
Worked as Systems Analyst or Support Analyst for Oracle fusion ERP application modules
-
Extensive expeiance in SOX and Audit process
-
Experiance in RMC and UAC application module will be big plus
-
Clear undetstaing on the Oracle Security and access architure like roles and access sets
-
Techno functional experiance in supporting the Oracle integrations and extensions
-
Ablity to develop/write complex SQL to extract the data from Oracle Fusion Applications
-
Have in-depth finance functional knowledge to understand business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
-
Good analytical and problem-solving ability
