Role Overview

As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will support the agency's growth by identifying new business opportunities, driving outreach, building strong prospect relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver compelling pitches. You will contribute to strategic initiatives while taking ownership of key BD activities, ensuring both revenue growth and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Strategy Execution

  • Assist in developing and executing growth strategies focused on revenue generation and client satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets, emerging trends, and evolving customer needs.
  • Analyse competitor activity to identify potential leads and build strategies to acquire competitive accounts.
  • Continuously gather client and market feedback to support management and improve BD effectiveness.

2. Lead Generation, Outreach & New Client Acquisition

  • Identify and qualify potential clients through market mapping and proactive outreach.
  • Arrange and participate in business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote the company's services by understanding client objectives and offering tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to pitch presentations and confidently represent the agency during client pitches.
  • Showcase strong storytelling abilities to convey ideas, strategies, and campaign plans in an engaging, persuasive manner.

3. Pitch & Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with Account Management, Creative, Strategy, Media, and other internal teams to build compelling pitch decks and proposals.
  • Support the creation of impactful presentations that clearly communicate value propositions, insights, and solutions.
  • Manage the preparation of pitch-related materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

4. Coordination & Handover to Internal Teams

  • Introduce new clients to the Account Management team and support the initial transition to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Coordinate with internal functional teams to conceptualise new offerings and identify opportunities to grow revenue from existing accounts (account mining).

5. Internal Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with Account Management, Creative, Media, and Strategy teams to align BD plans with client requirements.
  • Assist in deciding deliverables based on identified client needs and available service offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry insights and share relevant trends with internal teams to enhance solutioning.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising, or related field.
  • 24 years of experience in business development within a digital, advertising, or media agency.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and client-facing documents.
  • Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of BD execution.
