Senior Bookkeeper

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping and compliance to support our clients’ day-to-day financial activities. This role requires someone highly organized, with a solid grasp of bookkeeping practices and a proactive approach to client service. The ideal candidate will confidently handle complex compliance tasks, improve workflow efficiencies, and strengthen our client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and ensure timely filing of TDS, GST, PT, PF, and ESI returns alongside associated compliances.

Generate invoices, accurately applying relevant tax rates, and maintain up-to-date records of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Collaborate with internal teams for MIS generation and address any discrepancies or client inquiries.

Conduct targeted research on prospective clients, enhancing our client relationship efforts.

Perform day-to-day entries in Zoho Books, Tally, Busy, or equivalent software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Assist in implementing process improvements and documenting best practices to streamline bookkeeping activities.

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and compliance, preferably with a background as a CA Articled Assistant or Junior Accountant.

Proficiency in Zoho Books, Tally, Busy, and MS Office applications.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts.

A customer-centric mindset and excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively.

A Commerce degree (B.Com or equivalent); additional certifications in finance or accounting are an advantage.
