Job Purpose
We are looking for a Sr. Test Engineer (ETL Testing) with outstanding track record in the field of software quality assurance. The successful candidate would be an expert in Software Quality Assurance and can carry out all the Quality Assurance related tasks confidently while supporting and mentoring the team membersThis is very much a hands-on role to test the system by designing, updating test cases/scripts, performing test runs and finding bugs. Responsibilities
While working in this exciting and challenging role alongside the team of experts:
- As a QA Engineer with our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems, particularly focusing on data testing and DevOps practices.
- You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans that align with DevOps principles.
- You will be designing effective tests for user stories and ensuring their proper implementation.
- You will be responsible for executing system testing, including ELT processes and data reconciliation.
- You will provide detailed and accurate reports on test progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
- You will be responsible for testing MI (Management Information) reports for both data accuracy and functionality.
- Maintaining and updating relevant tasks within our DevOps workflow and providing daily status updates.
- You will take a pride in making sure all the objectives of quality assurance are achieved before delivering the product.
- You will promote the continuous improvement though various ways such as identifying and improvising scope of automation, sharing your skills and techniques with other team members.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on ETL testing.
- Background in data engineering/development, understanding the intricacies of data pipelines and processes.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and validation
- Working experience in Snowflake and cloud-based data solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and AWS cloud services for continuous integration and deployment.
- Experience in Test automation, utilizing tools such as Python for scripting will be additional advantage.
- Knowledge in Tableau or other BI tools for data visualization and reporting will be additional advantage.
- Good hands-on experience in Designing, Executing Test cases/scripts
- Well versed with all phases of SDLC and STLC.
- Well acquainted with Agile way of working and onsite-offshore model.
- Bachelor of computer/IT engineering or similar (BCS, BCA, MCS etc.).
- Open and innovative mindset with keenness to learn new skills.
