Designation: Senior BI Analyst Job Summary: We are seeking a BI Specialist with hands-on expertise in data visualization, data modeling, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to build insightful dashboards, analyze complex datasets, and generate actionable business insights. A strong understanding of Power BI is mandatory, along with experience in SQL, Python, and Excel. The role requires a problem-solving mindset and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: Understand the business needs and objectives of our clients from various sectors such as FMCG, E-commerce, etc. Liaise with stakeholders - both external (clients) and internal (data science and data engineering teams) - to fully understand data content and context. Build dashboards to drive insights and communicate through visual stories. Gather, prepare, and create visual models of business data to produce informative and user-friendly dashboards and reports (on BI platforms such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, etc.), to enable actionable insights for the stakeholders/clients / decision-makers. Align with the data engineering team, data science team, and business users for effective tracking of business KPIs in the right business context. Communicate results and business impacts of insights to stakeholders within and outside of the company. Imbibe and drive the culture of the analytics organization to create an egalitarian, merit-driven organization, and help the team grow. Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a hands-on BI Specialist role for at least 4+ years. Ability to think independently and take ownership. Ability to understand the business needs and objectives of our clients, with good communication skills. Excellent dashboarding skills (Microsoft Power BI is a must) with a passion for driving insights using data. Solid experience in data analysis, data filtering, data cleansing, data enrichment, data wrangling, and reporting within a given business context. Experience of working with Excel, R, Python, and SQL is mandatory. Knowledge of machine learning & statistical techniques is not mandatory, but nice-to-have. Most importantly, problem-solving aptitude and eagerness to learn new technologies & tools
