Senior AWS Data Engineer

As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for architecting scalable data pipelines, building and maintaining REST APIs, and collaborating with geographically dispersed teams. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience - 5+ years of hands-on experience in Application Development or similar roles - Advanced skills in Python, strong SQL knowledge, and experience in cloud-native development using AWS - Expertise in architecting scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) or working with extensive data pipelines - Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB - Familiarity with Docker and AWS cloud services like Lambda, EC2, ECR, ECS, and AWS Batch - Experience in building, integrating, and maintaining REST APIs and data workflows, including JSON - Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills - Ability to onboard/train new engineers independently and contribute to knowledge bases - Strong background in code reviews, monitoring system performance/stability, and refining solutions proactively - Self-motivated and reliable in remote work settings with effective time management - Highly desired skills include front-end development experience, agile software development knowledge, and prior experience in architecting scalable infrastructure - Previous open-source contributions and advocating best practices in software development - Demonstrated effectiveness in collaborating with remote teams and ability to overlap work hours with US-based engineers ,
