Senior Associate - Test Engineer

Global Markets IT is the complete gamut of IT solutions that facilitate and enable the Global Markets business of BNP Paribas. Within Global Markets IT, Trade Processing is the domain, which comprises of the range of asset-specific applications that manage the lifetime and workflow of deals right from their capture through to their settlement and reporting.

Techno Functional Tester will be responsible for:

- Working in collaboration with Development & BA team

- Creating and executing the functional testing suite.

- Design and create the automation test plans and the automation test scripts for NRT

- Should be self-motivated, proactive and a good team player.

- Should have experience in work effectively in fast paced environments.

- Proactive Communication on issues / risks / status

- High Quality Focus, follow the defined workflow and ensure the project KPIs are within the limits

- Gain application, business and functional knowledge

Responsibilities

Design and create a test plan:

- Integrate and assimilate the specifications provided by BA (Business Analyst) / Product Owner.

- Write the test plan which will prove that the programs fulfil the required functions.

Submit the test plan to the BA

- Communicate with the BA for validation.

- Integrate the remarks and update the test plan.

Prepare the test environment

- Stay informed on the preparation of the tests environments by development team

- Create the necessary tests data, in collaboration with development team.

Delivery of development

- Stay informed on the scheduling of delivery of development.

- Take account of the results of tests from development team, to decide to start testing.

Execute the test plan for SIT

- Execute the tests defined in the test plan.

- Update the Acceptance report and the defects database.

- If any problem, contact the development team and BA.

Monitoring and Test Report

- Periodically report the testing progress to Application management

- Highlight test and quality risks to Application management

- Ability & motivation to work in tight deadlines

- Must have good analytical skills.

- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated

- Strong writing, communication and presentation skills to audiences of different sizes and levels of seniority

- Create test cases and test data as per requirements.

SQL queries for backend validation

- Analyze test cases thoroughly to ensure adequate coverage of requirements.

- Execute test cases, analyze test results and should be able to deep data analysis and troubleshoot issues.

- Should possess good knowledge with Testing concepts (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Estimations, Test Closer reports, etc.).

- Closely work with Dev teams/BA to resolve issues and to develop a good understanding of the project and test objectives.

- Understanding the existing Automation framework

- Enhance the Automation framework

- Automation test execution & tool maintenance

Selenium-Cucumber

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively with IT teams as well as Business Teams

- Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated

- Hands on experience in JIRA and HP-ALM.

- Should be able to perform all testing-related duties.

Hands-on experience of Automation tools, techniques and framework development in particular,

1. Selenium Automation with Core-Java Language

2. Candidate should have experience in automation framework development

3. Should have working experience with POM/Test NG (Selenium)

4. Test script experience in Angular web applications

5. Should work on Key word / Data Driven automation framework

6. Should work on IE, Edge, Chrome browser-based application with Data Base validation

7. Extended experience on Locators finding (Xpath & CSS)

Exposure to web services testing (Preferred)

Good automation experience in CI/CD under Agile Dev. Ops model.
