Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate - Regulatory Affairs & Product Development to join our team. This hybrid role is ideal for a professional with strong knowledge of nutrition science, regulatory compliance, and a passion for innovation in food products. The role bridges product development, legal compliance, and scientific research support to ensure safe, effective, and market-ready food products. Key Responsibilities: Nutritionist Responsibilities: Design and evaluate nutritional profiles/nutritional label for existing and new food products. Provide nutritional recommendations during product formulation and enhancement. Ensure compliance of nutritional claims with regulatory standards (FSSAI, Codex, etc.). Develop nutrition fact panels and ingredient statements for packaging. Regulatory Affairs: Ensure all packaging, claims, and promotional material meet legal standards. Prepare and manage dossiers for regulatory submissions (e.g., FSSAI approvals, label claims). Liaise with internal teams and external regulatory bodies for licensing and product approvals. Monitor and interpret evolving food regulations, policies, and labeling requirements. R&D Support: Assist R&D team in developing innovative food formulations and conducting sensory evaluation. Maintain accurate documentation of R&D activities, formulation trials, and technical data. Support stability testing, meeting vendors and pilot production runs. Perform literature reviews and support scientific substantiation for health and functional claims. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Food Technology, Dietetics, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in the food industry in a similar role. Sound knowledge of FSSAI guidelines, food labeling, food additives, and nutritional standards. Familiarity with product lifecycle, from R&D to market launch. Desired Skills: Strong attention to detail and regulatory accuracy. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Quality, Production, and Legal teams. Proficient in MS Office and documentation software. Strong communication and analytical skills. Experience in regulatory audit support is a plus.
