POSITION SUMMARY: Why become a Global Client Services team member The Global Client Services (GCS) team supports Grant Thornton in winning international engagements, facilitating cross border service integration between GTIL member firms, and mobilizing talent throughout the international network. GCS manages our International Business Center which is comprised of professionals who act as ambassadors to foster cross-border opportunities for international clients by linking member firms with resources and expertise within the Grant Thornton network. In addition to facilitating the delivery of international business, our team provides coaching on global processes and protocols to ensure the adoption of best practices within the network. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate International / Cross-Border Work Provide responsive and high-quality support to international business development efforts and pursuit teams. Request information from member firms on information needed to complete inbound and outbound global opportunities. Follow best practices and maintain transparency across member firms involved in each pursuit. Basic project management skills with a strong focus on organization and ability to manage multiple tasks Support collaboration efforts with GTIL and member firm professionals, such as the IBSF (International Business Support Function), NCT (Network Capabilities Team), IBCD (International Business Center Directors), and ILD (International Liaison Directors). Contribute to priority projects that enhance the pursuit of international opportunities (e.g., strategic targeting). Learn to use OneView and other technologies to identify and track international client targets and business opportunities. Support International Business and Relationships Assist in developing learning materials to help external client-facing professionals understand and apply global policies. Help raise awareness of GCS support capabilities among US pursuit teams and member firms, both domestically and internationally. Build positive relationships with network professionals, acting as a liaison to foster collaboration on cross-border opportunities. Support efforts to strengthen communication and coordination with GTIL member firms on proposal opportunities. Other Responsibilities Work closely with the US Global Client Services team to support strategic internal projects and initiatives. Contribute to the implementation of the GTUS international strategy by assisting with key initiatives. Participate in infrastructure-strengthening projects that help develop service line capabilities within the GTIL member firm network. Collaborate with other team members to explore and improve efficiencies through the adoption of new technologies. QUALIFICATIONS MBA or equivalent in business, accounting, marketing, communications, or related field 3 to 5 years experience with an accounting and/or professional services firm a strength Some marketing experience also a plus High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and project teams, working under tight deadlines, when necessary Foreign language skills, and the practical application of foreign language use abroad a plus Interested candidates should demonstrate an affinity for learning on the job and problem-solving as well as an ambition to work across service lines The candidate should be a self-starter and demonstrate strength in working autonomously on assignments and initiatives The candidate should be culturally sensitive and able to demonstrate agile and collaborative cross-cultural communication skills This adaptable employee will need to be the kind of professional that thrives in an environment where they are expected to think strategically and are presented with new problems to solve Flexible work hours may be required to accommodate GCS international partners and teammates due to time zone differences Working knowledge of international client services and service delivery is beneficial and some marketing or business development experience a plus Outstanding oral and written communication skills are very important and experience in developing business-to-business communications, including promotional and direct marketing materials, PowerPoint presentations, proposals, etc. helpful Event planning, promotion and management experience with events like seminars and conferences, as well as virtual webcast/webinar events a bonus It is essential that interested candidates strive to live by Grant Thornton s core values: Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.
