Senior ArcGIS Developer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities Act as the technical lead and serve as primary local contact and technical go-to expert regarding all aspects of the product, especially GIS functionality. Understand needs and manage tasks for ArcGIS related development, including the SOEs, ArcGIS environments, Esri licensing, data validation & requirements, and integration between GIS systems and company’s products. Analyze functional requirements, user specifications and use cases for design, coding and testing. Development tasks as per the need of a project, including debugging, resolving issues, implementing enhancements, and creating unit and integration tests. Preferred candidate profile Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical field (engineering, software development, etc.). Proven experience developing complex software products or systems using C# and ArcGIS software. Strong hands-on experience with C# .NET development and Esri technologies. Experience wrapping, integrating or extending ESRI GIS capabilities using a .NET development language (C# or VB.NET) in conjunction with one or more of the following ESRI component libraries: ESRI ArcObjects (legacy), ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise SDK or ESRI ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET. Understanding of various GIS-related data management methodologies such as geometric networks and linear referencing techniques. Well versed in Enterprise GIS deployments utilizing ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, SDE-managed databases, services-oriented integration methodologies).
