Senior Analyst - Technical Writer

Role Overview: As a Blue Planet Senior Technical Writer at Ciena, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality technical documentation to assist customers in using the products effectively. Your problem-solving skills and excellent language abilities will be instrumental in creating user-friendly guides and online help resources. Your contribution will directly impact the success of our customers. Key Responsibilities: - Develop high-quality technical documentation including user guides, Upgrade guides, Deployment guides, online help, FAQs, release notes, etc. - Plan, schedule, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility. - Review, revise, and update existing documentation for accuracy and consistency. - Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content. - Manage updates and revisions to technical literature. - Ensure content adheres to company style guidelines and best practices. - Create visual aids such as diagrams, charts, and graphs to enhance understanding. - Collaborate with developers and customers to identify and address gaps in documentation. - Participate in the learning community to create content that meets customer needs. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the software industry. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts. - Proficiency in technical writing tools and software. - Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies. - Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
