Role Overview Dasra is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Analyst / Associate – Urban Sanitation to join the Urban Sanitation/WSH team. This role involves managing key workstreams under the NFSSM Alliance, engaging with diverse stakeholders, and contributing to high-impact programs at the intersection of sanitation, urban development, and climate resilience. You will play a vital role in driving sector collaboration, producing high-quality knowledge outputs, and supporting institutional efforts to strengthen inclusive sanitation systems in India. Project Management Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of priority workstreams and initiatives under the Alliance, state and partner engagements. Track progress, manage timelines, and ensure quality outputs aligned with team goals. 2. Stakeholder Coordination Engage proactively with key stakeholders including government officials, Alliance partners, academic and other sector experts. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups to ensure alignment, follow-through, and shared ownership of outcomes. 3. Convening & Knowledge Platforms Design and execute Alliance convenings, task forces, and cross-learning sessions. Facilitate knowledge exchange, research, documentation, and follow-up actions to advance sector alignment. 4. Research & Knowledge Leadership Facilitate or conduct structured research and data analysis to produce memos, presentations, and briefs in palatable formats as per stakeholder requirements. Translate insights from practice into actionable knowledge products and policy recommendations. Draw connections across states, partners, and data to surface strategic insights, inform decision-making, and shape sector direction and narratives. 5. Internal Collaboration Coordinate with cross-functional teams within Dasra to ensure timely support and alignment across projects. Contribute to internal knowledge systems, team culture, and continuous learning processes. Who You Are: 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in roles involving strategy, ecosystem building, consulting, government engagement, or urban sanitation or planning Strong project and time management skills; able to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled in creating concise and compelling documents for varied audiences. Demonstrated ability to work in multi-stakeholder settings and build trust-based relationships. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Highly motivated, agile, adaptable, and mission-aligned; thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments. Preferred Experience & Skills: Familiarity with innovation lifecycles, especially in sanitation, urban development, or related climate initiatives. Familiarity with experiential learning methodologies or working in adaptive, practice-based environments. Strong understanding of sanitation, urban development, and climate resilience. Familiarity with government systems, institutional frameworks, and policy processes at national and sub-national levels. Experience in conducting primary and secondary research, with the ability to synthesise findings using basic data analytics.
