Senior AI & Data Project Manager

Role Overview:

The Senior AI & Data Project Manager leads the delivery of complex, multi-phase AI transformation projects supported by strong data engineering foundations. Candidates must have experience delivering BOTH AI and Data Engineering projects and must excel in stakeholder management. 

Key Responsibilities:

AI & Data Project Delivery Management:

• Lead delivery of AI projects, including GenAI, RAG, NLP/Computer Vision models, and MLOps pipelines and AI Governance solutions. 
• Oversee solution design, feasibility studies, PoCs, pilots, and production rollouts. 
• Ensure compliance with Responsible AI SDLC, model governance, and security controls. 
• Manage data lake/lakehouse implementations, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines. 
• Oversee data quality, data cataloguing, lineage, and governance. 
• Ensure robust data foundations for AI workloads. 

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Act as primary client-facing lead for enterprise stakeholders. 
• Deliver clear communication, updates, roadmaps, and expectation management. 
• Conduct discovery workshops and translate business needs into delivery plans. 

Governance, RAID & Compliance:

• Maintain RAID logs, RACI, steering decks, and governance documentation. 
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, PDPA Pakistan, DPDP India. 
• Maintain safe, explainable, and compliant AI delivery standards. 

Team Leadership:

• Lead AI Engineers, Data Engineers, ML Engineers, BAs, QA and cross-functional teams. 
• Drive sprint quality, documentation excellence, and engineering discipline. 

Required Experience & Skills:

• 7–12+ years of experience delivering AI (GenAI, RAG, ML models, MLOps) and Data Engineering (Lakes, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT) projects. 
• Outstanding stakeholder management. 
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, and Data Engineering concepts and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP). 
• Consulting experience with enterprise clients. 
• Industry experience in Banking, Insurance, and ISVs. 
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, Azure/AWS/GCP.
