Role & responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements). Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data. Prepare and summarize transaction reports and financial status. Account Management: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions. Reconcile vendor ledgers and accounts payable. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations (e.g., GAAP, tax laws). Assist with internal and external audits. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential issues. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance. Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., GST returns, TDS, TCS). Stay updated with changes in tax regulations and compliance requirements. Supervision and Training (if applicable): Mentor and supervise junior accountants and accounting staff. Develop and implement accounting processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
