Senior Accountant

Job Description

They will be responsible for managing general accounting operations, preparing financial statements, overseeing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This position often involves mentoring junior accountants and contributing to strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Manage general ledger functions and ensure proper recording of all transactions. Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal policies. Coordinate and support the month-end and year-end closing processes. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Liaise with auditors and support the annual audit process. Monitor and improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Support tax preparation and filing activities. Contribute to process automation and implementation of accounting systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's and Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA preferred). 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
