Job Description

As a Senior at EY, your role involves reviewing multi-country Corporate or Group Accounting processes, including General Ledger maintenance, Balance Sheet reconciliation, month-end procedures, and preparation of Management Packs and Financial Statements in accordance with US GAAP standards. You will report to the Manager and have the opportunity to work on a multi-country or Group Accounting process, implementing process enhancements, ensuring strict controls, and enhancing quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct end-to-end accounting tasks such as Group Accounting, month-end closing, financial reporting, Balance sheet reconciliation, and financial year closing processes (preferably in the power/energy sector). - Preferably have exposure to HealthCare/Med Tech/Pharma industries. - Ensure meticulous adherence to the compliance calendar of clients for smooth closure of books, reconciliations, and reporting. - Gain a comprehensive understanding of client business processes to meet their requirements through regular updates, schedules, and reports. - Maintain a dashboard to display the progress of activities and status of multi-country engagements. - Challenge existing processes and drive process improvements by suggesting lean ideas, maintaining strict controls, and enhancing quality. - Review progress dashboards of multi-country engagements and participate in review meetings with various stakeholders. - Build strong working relationships within the team and across departments. - Manage additional project-related responsibilities and ad hoc requests from internal stakeholders. **Skills and Attributes for Success:** - Strong organizational skills, initiative, and commitment to work. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. **Qualifications Required:** - Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or CPA with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or B.COM, M.COM, CA inter, or MBA with at least 5 years of overall experience. - 3 to 6 years of accounting experience. - Comprehensive knowledge of accounting processes, accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP), and ERP systems like Workday, SAP, MS Business Central, etc. At EY, we are dedicated to building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society, and the planet, while fostering trust in capital markets.
