Job Description

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Counselor Team Leader to lead and manage a team of academic counselors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding the team to effectively support students preparing for NEET and JEE exams while ensuring smooth communication with parents and other stakeholders. This leadership role requires a strong focus on performance management, strategic guidance, and delivering exceptional counseling support to students. Key Responsibilities: 1. Team Leadership & Management: o Lead, motivate, and manage a team of academic counselors. o Provide guidance and training to counselors to enhance their skills in student interaction, admission processes, and follow-ups. o Monitor daily activities and set performance expectations to ensure team goals are met. 2. Counseling Oversight: o Supervise and review the counseling sessions provided by the team to ensure high standards and personalized guidance for students. o Ensure the team follows best practices for understanding student needs, setting academic goals, and recommending appropriate preparation strategies. 3. Parent Engagement: o Oversee communication between counselors and parents, ensuring that all queries and concerns are addressed efficiently. o Assist in organizing and conducting parent interaction sessions, ensuring alignment with the institution's vision and offerings. 4. Admissions & Enrollments: o Help the team drive admissions and manage the enrollment process effectively, ensuring that each counselor meets individual and team targets. o Develop and implement strategies to convert leads into enrolled students. 5. Progress Tracking & Reporting: o Monitor team performance on a regular basis, tracking key metrics such as conversion rates, student satisfaction, and retention. o Provide regular reports to management on the team's progress, challenges, and areas for improvement. 6. Student Progress & Support: o Work with the academic teams to identify students facing difficulties and provide solutions to enhance their learning experience. o Assist counselors in offering continuous feedback to students and parents about their progress. 7. Event Coordination & Promotion: o Lead the organization of seminars, workshops, and open houses, ensuring effective promotion and student/parent participation. o Foster a positive image of the institution at events and through ongoing interactions. 8. Target Achievement: o Set and achieve team targets related to enrollments, conversions, and overall student satisfaction. o Continuously motivate the team to exceed performance expectations and contribute to the institute's overall growth. Qualifications and Skills: Educational Background: Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (Background in Psychology, Education, or related fields preferred). Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in academic counseling, with at least 1-2 years in a team leader or supervisory role, preferably in a coaching or educational institute. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience in managing performance and driving results. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. A deep understanding of NEET/JEE exam preparation and the related academic structure is an advantage.
