Job Title: Academic Counselor Location: Calicut, Kerala Salary: ₹18,000 – ₹32,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications) Job Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic Academic Counselor to guide and support students in making informed academic and career decisions. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of academic programs, and a genuine interest in student success. Key Responsibilities: Counsel students on study options, admission processes, and course selection based on their academic background, interests, and career goals. Handle inbound and outbound calls, walk-ins, and online inquiries related to admissions and academic guidance. Maintain updated knowledge of educational programs, university requirements, and visa processes (if applicable). Assist in organizing seminars, webinars, and educational fairs to promote academic programs. Follow up with prospective students to ensure successful conversions. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress in the CRM system. Work closely with the admissions and marketing teams to meet enrollment targets. Provide continuous support and motivation to students throughout their application and admission journey. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Education, Psychology, or Business preferred). Prior experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or admissions is an added advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle student concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
