About Us Selyst is building a next-generation services marketplace where professionals can connect with customers in a reliable, transparent, and growth-driven environment. We are a fast-growing startup, backed by a strong founding team with global experience, and are looking for a passionate Frontend Developer who can shape intuitive user experiences while managing AWS-based deployments. Role Overview You will be responsible for building scalable, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces using Next.js (React) and Node.js , while also taking ownership of AWS infrastructure management related to the frontend (Amplify, CloudFront, S3, API integrations). This is a cross-functional role where you’ll work closely with backend engineers, product, and design teams to deliver seamless features to both buyers and sellers on Selyst. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces with Next.js and React . Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure smooth end-to-end functionality. Optimise application performance, accessibility, and SEO. Implement PWA features , dynamic routing, and component-based architecture. Manage AWS services relevant to the frontend, including: Amplify for CI/CD and hosting CloudFront + S3 for asset management and caching API Gateway integrations with Lambda/FastAPI backend Monitoring and cost optimisation on AWS Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Contribute to code reviews, architectural discussions, and product roadmap decisions. Stay updated with emerging frontend and cloud trends, bringing best practices into the team. Must-Have Skills Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js . Solid understanding of Node.js fundamentals. Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS (Amplify, CloudFront, S3, API Gateway, Lambda) . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git/GitHub). Understanding of responsive design, Tailwind CSS (or other modern CSS frameworks). Knowledge of SEO and performance optimization in Next.js. Ability to debug and resolve issues across frontend and AWS environments. Good-to-Have (Plus Points) Experience with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, DynamoDB). Familiarity with analytics tracking (GA4, GTM) . Experience building PWAs and mobile-first design. Exposure to authentication systems (AWS Cognito, OAuth).
