Security Operations Engineer Job Description Job Title: Security Operations Engineer Overview: As an Azure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and managing the Azure cloud environment and creating modern automation tools. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience with modern DevOps and orchestration tools. Responsibilities: Monitor and manage Rethink Azure Production and O365 cloud environment. Monitor and respond to security alerts. Update and monitor Sentinel responding to threads and alerts Update logs, work with the DevOps team to remediate configuration issues Patch third-party applications on endpoints Build automation tools for patching and updating the environment. Monitor DLP Policies in O365. Leverage automation tools, including PowerShell and Terraform, for Azure Firewall Administration. Monitor Endpoint Activity and Logins Work on incident response to address threats Configure and Maintain Azure Firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) Provide security Monitoring and Support to the Kubernetes environment. Monitor Entra Logins and threats to SharePoint Participate in SOC 2 and HiTrust Audits, providing documentation and support as needed Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Azure cloud Security and Azure o365 best practices Proficiency with Microsoft Sentinel, Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, and Azure DevOps Services, and securing workloads Experience with automation tools such as PowerShell and Terraform (Must). Expert knowledge in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) management. Experience in building Helm Charts and Templates (Must). Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation. Technical Skills: PowerShell Firewall Threat Monitoring Terraform Patching Alert Response Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with modern security operations
