Security Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Officer to oversee all aspects of security operations within our facility management division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining security protocols to ensure the safety of our personnel, assets, and properties. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies Manage and supervise the security team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of security systems and equipment Investigate and report on security incidents and breaches Develop and manage the security budget Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Provide security awareness training to facility staff and occupants Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into overall facility management plans Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field 5+ years of experience in security management, preferably in a facility management setting Strong knowledge of security systems, surveillance technologies, and access control systems Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in security management software and Microsoft Office suite Valid drivers license and clean driving record Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a related field Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or other relevant industry certifications Experience with emergency management and business continuity planning Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices
