Security Guard

Role & responsibilities

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, and property. This includes monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety and security procedures.

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure security and safety.
• Monitor CCTV cameras, alarms, and security systems.
• Identify suspicious behavior and potential security risks.
• Check identification, screen visitors, and verify authorization to enter the premises.
• Maintain visitor logs and ensure proper sign-in procedures.
• Secure entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies such as fire, accidents, theft, or disturbances.
• Report and document incidents according to company procedures.
• Assist law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management when needed.
• Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and report hazards.
• Support evacuation procedures and crowd control when required.
• Provide assistance and information to employees, guests, and visitors.
• Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.

Preferred candidate profile

Education & Experience

Experience of minimum 1-2 yrs in the same sector and designation.

May require standing or walking for long periods.

May involve working shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Exposure to varying weather conditions depending on location.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure.
• Basic report-writing and incident documentation skills.
• Physical fitness for patrolling and emergency response.
• Knowledge of security procedures and emergency protocols.
