Security Engineer

Role Overview: As a Security Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and maintain solutions that ensure the safeguarding of the bank's systems and sensitive information. You will provide subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns, develop and implement protocols and software applications to protect sensitive data, and manage and protect secrets securely. Your role will involve executing audits to identify vulnerabilities in the bank's infrastructure/software and responding to potential security breaches. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying advancements in cryptographic technologies and collaborating with various teams to align cryptographic solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements. You will also be involved in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems. Key Responsibilities: - Provide subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns - Develop and implement protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems - Manage and protect secrets securely - Execute audits to monitor and assess vulnerabilities in the bank's infrastructure/software - Identify advancements in cryptographic technologies and techniques - Collaborate across the bank to align cryptographic solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements - Develop, implement, and maintain Identity and Access Management solutions and systems Qualifications Required: - In-depth technical knowledge and experience in security systems and engineering patterns - Thorough understanding of cryptographic technologies and techniques - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across different teams within the bank - Ability to lead and supervise a team, guiding professional development and allocating work requirements Additional Company Details: Colleagues at Barclays are expected to uphold the company values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, and Stewardship, serving as a moral compass guiding actions.
