Job Description

Role and Responsibilities * Lead the SEO efforts for the Tamil website. Take ownership of end-to-end SEO activities, including technical SEO, keyword research, competitor monitoring, content updating, reporting an optimizing. * Work with cross-functional teams across tech, product, editorial, and social to drive up the organic traffic numbers and brand visibility. * Maximize organic traffic growth by establishing a robust SEO target keyword list and working closely with Content, Product and Tech. * Work with the content team in educating them on the importance of SEO and how to develop content to get more organic traffic. * Work with content leads to co-create content calendars, plans, and strategies while ensuring the same is executed. * Create and overlook google analytics dashboards, reports, and key reporting tools, highlighting key areas of important tracking of traffic on and from the website. * Conduct competitor research & analysis, identify gaps, and get it implemented in real-time. * Implementing best SEO practices and the latest Google algorithm updates, reviewing written content for SEO scores, and suggesting inputs based on tool-generated data. The Background and Experience: * Must have 2 to 4 years of experience in SEO * Must have a Qualification in Bachelors degree from a reputed institution. * Must have a proven record of accomplishment for growth in Data/Product SEO traffic. * Must have a background in News Media. * Must have a understanding of Tamil language reading, writing and speaking. * Must be proficient in Search Engine Optimization reporting and analytical tools and web analytics tools such as GoogleAnalytics, Search Console, ScreamingFrog, SEMRush, Ahrefs.com, Comscore (would be an added advantage). * You must be self-motivated and keep an eye on the latest developments in the area of your work.
