We are searching for an engaged tele caller to boost sales by reaching out to current and possible clients. 3 to 4 years of doing active sales and business development in the area of Freight forwarding. Presentable, having good presentation skills, excellent communication skills and Computer savvy. Role & responsibilities Responsible for generating sales / sales leads. Tracking leads and achieving goals / targets. Generate reports and analyze the resultsDrive and generate new business thereby getting more clients added to the organisation. Contribute significantly by growing the customer base and market shareHaving a customer base is preferable. Report sales activities on daily/weekly basisEnsure all quotations are sent to customers within the agreed time frame as per company directives in consultation with all concerned in the organizationEnsure proper follow-up of these quotations is done with the customers for quick conversionEnsure follow-up with the customers for outstanding payments and the same are collected in accordance with agreed credit termsServe as the main point of contact for customers based in the region, addressing inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channelsProvide timely and accurate information to customers regarding shipment status, documentation requirements, transit times, and other logistics-related queries. Should be able to coordinate with customers & resolve their issuesCoordinate with internal departments, including operations, sales, and finance, to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth order processingProcess customer orders, bookings, and shipment requests accurately and efficiently in accordance with company policies and proceduresAssist customers with customs clearance procedures, documentation preparation, and regulatory compliance requirements for shipments to and from the regionProactively communicate with customers to provide updates on shipment status, delays, or any other relevant informationHandle customer complaints and escalations promptly, investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrenceMaintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and inquiries using the company's systemCollaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services to existing customersStay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes affecting the logistics industry in the regionPrepare trade documents for presentation to banks and ensure their timely receiptSwiftly cater to any required amendments and adjustments for documentation.Handle shipping processes and verify freight rates and invoices for every tradeEnsure accurate and timely updates of all relevant data in the ERP system.Apply for cargo insurance for all shipments.
