Location: Chennai /Palani Position 1: Structural SDS2 Detailer Experience Required : Minimum 2 years Number of Positions : 3 Job Description : We are seeking Structural SDS2 Detailers with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. will be responsible for detailing structural steel components using SDS2 software and creating accurate and efficient steel shop drawings that align with design specifications. You will work closely with engineers and fabricators to ensure the successful production of steel structures. Key Responsibilities : Produce 3D models and detailed drawings using SDS2 software for structural steel projects. Create detailed fabrication drawings, erection plans, and part drawings. Work closely with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to ensure the accuracy and quality of work. Coordinate with other team members to resolve any discrepancies in the design or drawings. Maintain a high standard of quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Review drawings and plans for completeness and accuracy before submission to clients or fabricators. Skills and Qualifications : Minimum 2 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer. Proficiency in SDS2 or similar detailing software. Understanding of structural steel design, fabrication, and erection practices. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects. Good communication and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Position 2: Structural Steel Checker Experience Required : Minimum 6 years Number of Positions : 1 Job Description : We are looking for a highly experienced Structural Steel Checker to review and ensure the accuracy of steel detailing work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience in structural steel detailing, with a deep understanding of fabrication, design drawings, and steel construction processes. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving detailed drawings, ensuring they meet engineering standards, and identifying any discrepancies. Key Responsibilities : Review structural steel detailing drawings for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with design specifications. Work closely with detailers to verify the correctness of drawings, ensuring they meet fabrication and erection standards. Ensure that all drawings comply with relevant codes, industry standards, and project requirements. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in drawings, ensuring the design intent is maintained. Provide technical support and guidance to detailers, helping them understand complex drawing requirements. Approve drawings for fabrication and construction. Maintain documentation for all revisions and approved drawings. Skills and Qualifications : Minimum 6 years of experience in structural steel detailing, with at least 3 years as a checker. Strong proficiency with SDS2 and other structural steel detailing software. In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes. Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot errors in technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to provide guidance to detailers. Experience with quality control processes in steel detailing.
