Job Description

We're looking for a strong Backend Engineer to help us design, build, and scale backend services that power our products. You'll work closely with frontend, mobile, and product teams to build reliable APIs

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Node.js and Python.
Work with databases (SQL / NoSQL) to model and manage data efficiently.
Implement RESTful / GraphQL APIs and ensure consistent integration with frontend and mobile apps.
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability.
Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and improve CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design decisions.
Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to improving observability and monitoring.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2-4 years of experience in backend development using Node.js or Python.
Strong understanding of API design, authentication (OAuth2 JWT), and microservice communication.
Solid grasp of databases PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB; ability to write optimized queries.
Familiarity with AWS / GCP / Azure, Docker, and basic CI/CD pipelines.
Understanding of scalability, caching (Redis / Memcached), and message queues (Kafka / RabbitMQ).
Experience with unit/integration testing and code-quality practices.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Bonus points

Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Sentry.
Contribution to open-source projects or personal side projects.
