Job Description

Role: Reporting to the VP Supply Chain on a day-to-day basis and oversees several key functions within the supply chain department that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to end users and to ensure Service Support and Service Delivery processes are in place to meet business needs. This position is a stakeholder facing role and requires that you establish and manage expectations within the business and drive the Supply Chain team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. This description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties within the group/department may be required in addition to changes in the emphasis of duties as required from time to time. There is a requirement for the candidate holding this position to recognize this and adopt a flexible approach to work. Required Skill Sets: Strong negotiation skills Excellent analytical abilities Proficiency in procurement software and tools SAP etc Deep understanding of supply chain management principles Effective communication and interpersonal skills Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities Knowledge of contract law and vendor management Desired Skill Sets: Experience in procurement within Construction industry preferably Leadership and Team Management skills Advanced degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (Ex - CSCP, CPSM etc) Familiarity with international procurement regulations and practices Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost savings and operational efficiency. Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability. Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions. Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards. Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise Approve purchase orders and organize and confirm delivery of goods and services. Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements. Control the procurement budget and promote a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs. Lead and mentor the procurement team, provide guidance and support to achieve departmental goal Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements. Follow and enforce the companys procurement policies and procedures. Review, compare, analyze, and approve products and services to be purchased. Stay abreast of market trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact procurement.
