Job Description

Job Summary:

The School Store Executive will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the school store, including inventory control, procurement, billing, and maintaining accurate financial records using Tally. The role ensures the smooth supply and sale of uniforms, stationery, books, and other school materials while maintaining proper documentation and compliance with school policies.

Key Responsibilities:1. Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock levels of all store items (books, uniforms, stationery, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconciliation.
  • Record goods received and issued in the inventory management system.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and suggest disposal or clearance.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of items.

2. Purchase Order (PO) Creation & Procurement

  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved requisitions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely delivery of materials.
  • Verify goods received against POs and supplier invoices.
  • Maintain vendor database and assist in vendor evaluation and negotiation.

3. Billing & Accounting (Tally)

  • Record daily sales and purchases in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
  • Generate invoices and receipts for sales transactions.
  • Assist Accounts Department with reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Maintain records for GST and other applicable taxes (if applicable).

4. Customer Service

  • Attend to students, parents, and staff for purchase of store items.
  • Ensure accurate billing and a smooth checkout experience.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries professionally.

5. Reporting & Compliance

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock movement and sales.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
  • Adhere to all school financial and procurement policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in inventory or store management (preferably in an educational or retail setup).
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP / Tally Prime and MS Excel.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,559.42 - ₹40,126.40 per month
