Role Responsibilities Develop and manage library programs for students and staff. Organize and maintain library materials, including books, digital resources, and periodicals. Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources effectively. Promote reading and literacy programs through workshops and book fairs. Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum. Conduct regular assessments of library collections and services. Implement information literacy instruction for students. Maintain an engaging and user-friendly library environment. Utilize digital tools and resources for library management. Manage the library budget and allocate funds for new acquisitions. Provide reference services and research assistance to students. Organize events, such as author visits and reading challenges. Stay updated with the latest trends in library science and technology. Foster a love for reading through various initiatives. Create promotional materials for library programs and activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field. Previous experience in a school library setting preferred. Strong understanding of library management software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with educators and students. Knowledge of current trends in library services. Demonstrated passion for children's literature. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Experience in promoting literacy and library programs. Familiarity with digital learning tools and resources. Ability to create an inviting library space. Willingness to engage with the school community and stakeholders. Understanding of data privacy and copyright laws.
