About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scala programming, functional programming concepts, and experience in building scalable, high-performance applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy solutions that drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala.

- Implement functional programming concepts and write clean, efficient code.

- Collaborate with product, design, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.

- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

- Optimize application performance and ensure high availability.

- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency in Scala programming language.

- Good understanding of functional programming principles.

- Experience with frameworks like Akka, Play, or Lagom.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Experience with data processing tools like Spark.

- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
