Job Title: Python Backend Developer Location: Remote Job Type: Contract Client: UK-based Need Immediate Joiners Role Overview: We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our founding tech team and contribute to the development of a Sharia-compliant FinTech application. You will work closely with the Tech Lead and Frontend Engineer to build scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems that support lending and brokerage functionalities for SMEs and start-ups. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop backend services and APIs to support lending workflows and third-party integrations. Implement data ingestion and transformation pipelines using GenAI and OCR technologies. Collaborate with the Tech Lead to ensure architectural alignment and scalability. Integrate with third-party APIs, especially those relevant to the Saudi financial ecosystem. Ensure backend systems are secure, compliant, and optimized for performance. Participate in daily syncs and agile development cycles using JIRA. Ideal Candidate Profile: 4-8 years of experience in backend development. Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and cloud-native development. Experience with AWS services and infrastructure. Exposure to FinTech, lending platforms, or financial APIs is a plus. Familiarity with GenAI/OCR integration is highly desirable. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first startup environment. Experience with Saudi market or Sharia-compliant systems.
