Key Responsibilities

1. SAP Materials Management Expertise

• Lead end-to-end design, configuration, and support for SAP MM modules including:
  
• Procurement (PR/PO)
  
• External Services Management
  
• Inventory Management
  
• Material Master, Vendor Master
  
• Automatic Account Determination
  
• MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  
• Pricing & Condition Techniques
  
• Special Procurement Types
  
• Manage Inventory Management processes:
  
• Goods Receipt / Issue
  
• Transfer Postings
  
• Reservations
  
• Stock Transport Orders
  
• Physical Inventory
  
• Configure and manage Material Valuation, Movement Types, and Release Strategies.
  

2. Procurement & Vendor Management

• Work closely with business teams to design efficient procurement processes including direct, indirect, and service procurement.
  
• Support Supplier Relationship Management activities and vendor evaluation.
  
• Implement and optimize procurement cycle including RFQ, quotations, vendor selection, PO management, and invoicing.
  

3. Integration Expertise

• Strong integration experience with modules:
  

• SAP FICO

  Account Determination, GR/IR, Invoice Verification

• SAP SD

  – Returns, STOs

• SAP PP

  – BOMs, Work Orders, Component Consumption

• SAP QM

  – Quality inspection, stock postings
• Collaborate with ABAP developers to design and validate RICEFW objects.
  
• Work on interfaces with third-party tools such as procurement portals, vendor systems, and scanning devices.
  

4. S/4HANA MM Experience (Preferable)

• Experience with S/4HANA innovations including:
  
• Material Master changes
  
• BP Vendor Integration
  
• Advanced MRP
  
• Fiori Apps for procurement & inventory
  
• Knowledge of S/4 HANA Logistics & Central Procurement is an added advantage.
  

5. Functional Documentation & Delivery

• Prepare detailed BRDs, FDDs, test scripts, UAT plans, configuration documents, and training materials.
  
• Lead workshops, process walkthroughs, testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression), cutover planning, and post-go-live support.
  
• Drive issue resolution, root cause analysis, and permanent fixes.
  
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, governance, and SLAs.
  

6. Procurement Analytics & Reporting

• Expertise in SAP MM standard reporting (ME2N, ME23N, MB51, MB52, MB5B etc.).
  
• Support BI/BO or SAC teams in building dashboards and procurement analytics.
  
• Work on consumption-based planning, vendor performance reports, and procurement KPIs.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum

  12+ years

  of SAP MM functional experience.
• Strong experience in global SAP environment with large-scale transformations or production support.
  
• Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle implementations in SAP MM.
  
• Strong understanding of procurement, vendor management, inventory workflows, logistics execution, and MRP.
  
• Deep understanding of account determination, tax setup, valuation classes, and integration with FI.
  
• Experience working with complex procurement models: subcontracting, third-party procurement, consignment, and service procurement.
  
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
  
• Experience working with offshore/onshore models.
