Job Description

Job Title:

SAP HANA Administrator

Responsibilities

Perform
SAP HANA Installation & Configuration
(Single, Multitenant MDC).
Execute
HANA version upgrades
, including
HANA 1.0 to HANA 2.0 migrations
.
Carry out
HANA DB client upgrades
and patching activities.
Manage
HANA backups
using Backint and perform
PIT recovery
for MDC and non-MDC systems.
Start/stop HANA DB instances during maintenance windows.
Monitor system health using
HANA Studio / Cockpit
and act on alerts.
Manage
HANA users, roles, licenses, audit logs, and traces
.
Troubleshoot
database performance, memory, CPU, and backup issues.
Analyze
trace files
and resolve HANA-related incidents (P1/P2).
Perform
daily health checks
, parameter tuning, and proactive performance analysis.
Ensure smooth operation of production HANA landscapes.

Required Skills

Strong understanding of
SAP HANA system architecture
Hands-on experience with
HANA 2.0 MDC
Expertise in
backup & recovery (Backint)
Proficient in
performance tuning & troubleshooting
Knowledge of
Linux OS (SUSE/RedHat)
Experience handling
critical production incidents (P1/P2)
