Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP FICO Functional Expertise

  • Lead requirements gathering, business process mapping, gap analysis, and solution design for SAP FI and CO modules.
  • Configure and support SAP Finance (FI) processes including:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Asset Accounting (AA)
    • Bank Accounting
    • Electronic Bank Statements (EBS) & Lockbox
    • Special Purpose Ledger
  • Configure and support SAP Controlling (CO) processes including:
    • Cost Center Accounting
    • Profit Center Accounting
    • Internal Orders
    • Product Costing
    • COPA (Profitability Analysis)
    • Actual/Planned Costing Cycles, Allocations, Assessments

2. S/4HANA FICO Experience (Preferred)

  • Hands-on experience with

    Universal Ledger

    ,

    A-CDOCA

    , and S/4HANA FICO innovations.
  • Experience in

    Central Finance

    is an added advantage.
  • Expertise in SAP Fiori apps related to Finance.

3. Integration & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with technical and functional teams across SAP modules: MM, SD, PP, PS, HR, and SuccessFactors.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for functional specifications, RICEFW objects, enhancements, and debugging.
  • Provide end-to-end integration support including testing, data validation, workflow alignment, and interface monitoring.

4. Finance Transformation & Business Partnering

  • Work directly with finance controllers, accounting teams, and business units to translate requirements into feasible SAP solutions.
  • Lead Financial Closing processes and ensure system readiness for month-end / year-end activities.
  • Drive improvements in financial consolidation, reporting, and compliance processes.
  • Assist in implementing internal controls, SOX audits, and financial governance frameworks.

5. Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage full lifecycle SAP projects (implementations, rollouts, upgrades, migrations).
  • Prepare functional documents: BRD, FDD, test scripts, UAT scenarios, user manuals.
  • Provide day-to-day production support and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Conduct UAT, CUT (Customer Testing), SIT, and regression testing.
  • Resolve complex incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.

6. Financial Reporting & Data Management

  • Expertise in:
    • SAP Reports (FBL1N, FBL3N, FBL5N, FAGLL03 etc.)
    • Costing sheets, standard costs, cost roll-ups
    • Payment methods & automatic payment programs (APP, DME)
    • FI-GL and CO reporting
  • Work with BI/BO teams to support financial analytics and dashboards.
  • Support data migration activities: LSMW, BAPIs, data templates, validation and reconciliation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum

    12+ years

    experience in SAP FICO with strong functional and business-facing capabilities.
  • At least

    23 full lifecycle SAP implementations

    with hands-on configuration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP financial processes and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of financial operations including:
    • Budgeting
    • Forecasting
    • Month-end closing
    • Taxation (GST/TDS desirable)
    • Intercompany transactions
  • Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and ability to work with global teams.
  • Hands-on experience with RICEFW specification creation and validation.
  • Must be capable of leading workshops, solution design sessions, and end-user training.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure environments, tight deadlines, and multitasking.
